Zain Murdock is a queer Jamaican and African American poet, Pisces, and abolitionist journalist with poems in the Missouri Review, Poet Lore, The Adroit Journal, and elsewhere. Previously organizing with DMV Dissenters and currently co-president of Black media workers union, PushBlack Workers United (PBWU), Zain is based in the DMV and working on a poetry manuscript about spiders and a Black speculative fiction project exploring time travel as a remedy for traumatic events.
